The Cone Health Regional Orthopedic Joint Centers take a comprehensive, interdisciplinary approach to the care of people who have had elective total knee or hip replacement surgery.
These services are offered at Wesley Long Community Hospital, The Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital and Annie Penn Hospital. We perform about 1,500 total joint replacements each year.
Our goals are to improve your ability to use your new knee/hip, maximize your independence, provide patient/family education, use appropriate community resources, and ease your transition back into your home and community.
The Regional Orthopedic Joint Centers believe quality nursing and rehabilitation services are the fastest ways to get you on your feet again and help you return to your daily activities.
Services available include:
- Nursing 24 hours a day.
- RN case management.
- Clinical nurse specialist.
- Clinical social worker.
- Physical therapy.
- Occupational therapy
- Orthopedic technician services.
- Pharmacy.
- Dietary services.
- Physiatrist.
- Orthopedic surgery.
- Surgical services.
The Regional Orthopedic Joint Centers provide all patients undergoing total joint replacement with the opportunity to participate in our Joints in Motion program. This program includes:
- Preoperative education class.
- Dedicated orthopedic department.
- Individualized treatment plans.
- Quick return to daily activities.
