Welcome to The Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital's Pediatric Department. We are pleased to care for your child while he or she is recovering. Our goal is to return children to their homes and their families as soon as possible.
 The Pediatric Department practices family-centered care. This means that we will work with you to care for your child's specific needs. The nurse will plan your child's nursing care with you, work closely with the physicians and help plan for discharge. Families are part of the team and are encouraged to participate in the care of the child. We have found that parental involvement usually lessens the child's anxiety.
We encourage one parent to stay with his/her young children. If you are unable to stay with your child at the hospital, you may call the nurses' station at 832-6100 at any time for information on your child's progress.
As a parent, you are welcome here all the time. We make it a priority to answer questions so you feel comfortable with your child's treatment.
