Employee Health Requirements

  • As a condition of employment, ALL employee candidates are REQUIRED to have a health review and urine drug screen.
  • Job offers may not be extended or may be withdrawn if potential employees do not show up for their appointments.
  • Bring your driver’s license or some type of photo ID.

Immunization Requirements

  • Bring all available immunization records and copy of recent TB skin tests.
  • All employees must have proof of immunity for the following diseases:  German measles, red measles, mumps and chickenpox.  Proof of immunity is either documentation of two (2) MMR and chickenpox vaccines or laboratory tests showing proper immunity levels.  If documentation is not provided, the employee will be given the vaccine(s).  This will be done before the employee can start work.
  • All employees must have documented one (1) Tetanus/Diphtheria or Tetanus/Diphtheria/Pertussis booster given between the ages of 14 and 50 years old.  A second booster is given at the age of 50.
  • All employees must receive a seasonal influenza vaccine during the influenza season (September through March).  Exemption is granted for physician documentation of medical contraindications.
  • All employees having the potential for exposure to blood or other potentially infectious materials (known as Class I and II jobs) will be offered the Hepatitis B vaccine series unless previously vaccinated.

Tuberculosis (TB) Screening

  • All employees receive annual TB skins tests.  If the new employee has documentation of a TB test done within the past three months, he/she will get one (1) TB skin test at the new hire physical.  If no previous TB tests, the employee will get two (2) TB skin tests, done one month apart.

Urine Drug Screen Instructions

  • Drink plenty of water a half hour before your appointment.
  • Do not empty your bladder before your appointment.

Urgent Care

  • 1123 N. Church Street, Greensboro, NC 27401. Urgent Care is located on the Moses Cone campus. Enter the building through the Emergency Entrance and take a left to proceed to Urgent Care.
  • Urine Drug Screens are available Monday through Friday from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Saturdays from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM.

Human Resources

  • 200 E. Northwood Street, Suite 301, Greensboro, NC  27401.  Parking is available in the back of the building.  Enter the building from the parking lot and take the elevators to the third floor.  HR is directly across from the elevators.
  • HR is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
