Learn infant and child resuscitation skills from credentialed American Heart Association instructors. Also included is the treatment of conscious and unconscious choking infants and children. Register each participant individually to ensure that enough mannequins are available.

Description

Learn infant and child resuscitation skills from credentialed American Heart Association instructors. Also included is the treatment of conscious and unconscious choking infants and children.

Please register each person individually who plans to attend this class. This is to ensure that enough mannequins are available.

 

In order to continue providing quality programs at Women’s Hospital, refunds will only be available for medical necessity. We are happy to apply the class fee to other classes if you need to reschedule.

Childbirth Class Option 2 - Condensed Birth & Baby

Weekend childbirth class covering the care of your newborn, and the basics of labor and childbirth. Includes a hospital tour and lunch. No need to register for Childbirth Options 1, 3 or 4 if you choose this class.

Grandparent Love

Childbirth Class Option 1 - Birth & Baby

This series of five weekly classes helps you and your labor partner prepare for childbirth and parenting. No need to register for Childbirth Options 2, 3 or 4 when you choose this option.

Childbirth Class Option 4 - Refresher Birth & Baby

Expecting another baby? This 2-week course reviews the basics of the birth process, breathing and relaxation techniques, and cesarean sections. Recommended at 34-36 weeks.

Waterbirth Class

Interested in a waterbirth? This informational class will help you discover whether waterbirth is the right fit for you. Education about waterbirth itself, supplies you would need and how to assemble your support team is what you can expect from this class. Not all practices offer waterbirth. Check with your healthcare provider. (Register only expectant mom, but you are encouraged to bring your partner to class!)

Maternity Care Center Tour

Come visit Women's Hospital for a tour of family-centered maternity services. Tours are scheduled weekly for your convenience. Tours last approximately 1 hour and are led by a Registered Nurse. Tours are free but registration is required for each participant.

Fit 4 Two (Prenatal Yoga and Pilates)

Classes for all trimesters. You will learn safe and effective exercises that help build strength, flexibilty and help reduce stress.

Breastfeeding Your Baby

Like any new skill, breastfeeding will be more successful with early preparation and practice. This 2-part class will help you feel ready to begin this important relationship. Your partner is encouraged to attend with you.
