Whether for routine clinical appointments or hospital stays, patients spend a lot of time with nurses. Many other people in the community receive screenings and care from Cone Health Congregational Nurses at health fairs and at the annual Dental Clinic. Cone Heath is committed to having optimally trained and qualified nurses care for you. Gifts are important to the ongoing investment in nursing education, and your recent gifts have helped purchase computerized training manikins at the Nursing Education Center.

Your gifts also help fund the RN Educational Advancement for Cone Health (REACH) program. The goal is to have 80 percent of nurses at Cone Health with bachelor’s degrees in nursing by 2014. “We are providing the means for many nurses who otherwise could not have advanced their education,” says Lisa Boland, REACH administrator. While still in its infancy, the program is already making an impact on patient care.
