Ways To Give
In addition to making your gift online or through the mail, Cone Health accepts these types of gifts.
Appreciated Securities or Stocks Securities held by your bank or broker
Electronic transfer
Giving stock through electronic transfer is the easiest and most expedient method when a donor maintains holdings through a brokered account. Depository Trust Co., or DTC, is the clearinghouse for our electronic security transfers. Each brokerage firm has a specific DTC number. When you wish to make a gift of stock, provide the following information to the transferring broker:

DTC Number: 0141
Clearing Broker: Wells Fargo Wealth Management
Reference: (Donor's name)
Please alert the Fund Development Office before the transfer so that the Health System can arrange with its broker to receive the stock. At the same time, please indicate the purpose of the contribution, such as a gift to a specific fund.

Send your certificate by ordinary first class mail, without any endorsement or other notation to:

Enclose a letter stating your intent is to make a gift to Cone Health and any specific hospital or program you wish to support.
In a separate envelope, please mail to the same address a stock power for each certificate. Do not complete any information on the stock power other than your signature and the date. If the certificate represents a greater number of shares than you intend to give, please enclose a reference in your letter requesting the return of a new stock certificate with the non-gift balance. Since the stock certificate becomes negotiable only when joined with the stock power, this method provides safety and simplicity. Stock power forms are available from your bank or brokerage house.
