Annie Penn Hospital Foundation names new board members

The Annie Penn Hospital Foundation Board of Directors recently announced the addition of two new directors: Denise G. Brown and R. John Kolessar. Each will serve a three-year term.

Brown, a resident of Reidsville, is a financial adviser for Edward Jones of Reidsville. A member of Gospel Baptist Church, Brown is secretary of the Reidsville Rotary Club and was named “Rotarian of the Year” for 2007. She is also a member of the Reidsville Federated Woman’s Club and the Wentworth Ruritan Club. Brown is married to Gary Brown, and they have three sons.

Kolessar, also a Reidsville resident, is the Rockingham County market executive for NewBridge Bank. He is a member of Main Street United Methodist Church, where he serves as treasurer of the Methodist Men. Kolessar has held leadership roles in several community organizations. He is a past president of The Free Clinic of Rockingham County, chairman of the Betsy and Jeff Penn 4-H Center Advisory Board, a member of the Rockingham Community College Advisory Board, and a member of the Piedmont Triad Leadership Institute. Kolessar and his wife, Sherri, have two children.

The Annie Penn Hospital Foundation was established in 1990 to support the programs, services and aims of Annie Penn Hospital.
