Annie Penn Hospital in conference spotlight

Mickey Foster, President, Annie Penn Hospital, is one of three panelists on the topic, “What makes strong small and rural hospitals.” The panel is part of the 10th annual Small and Rural Hospital Conference to be held Nov. 9-10 in Charlotte.

"It's truly a team accomplishment that I get to tell the story of Annie Penn Hospital at the 2010 Duke Endowment Small and Rural Hospital Conference. To be part of this conference speaks volumes about Annie Penn Hospital,” Foster says. “I'm very proud of our employees, medical staff and advisory board for their work and efforts."

Foster was asked to serve on the panel as the result of Annie Penn Hospital’s strong financial position and because of the benefits it receives by being part of a larger organization – Moses Cone Health System.

The conference is co-sponsored by the Duke Endowment and both the North and South Carolina Hospital Associations. It focuses on the unique issues that small and rural hospitals face in today’s challenging healthcare environment.
