Brian Romig named to vice president post

Brian Romig has been named Vice President of Pharmacy and Supply Chain Management for Moses Cone Health System. Romig has been the executive director of pharmacy with the Health System.

“Brian has extensive experience in product acquisition, negotiation and contracting,” says Terry Akin, Chief Operating Officer, Moses Cone Health System. “Through his leadership, the Health System has realized dramatic savings in pharmacy costs over the last several years.”

Romig joined Moses Cone Health System in 2002 as corporate director of pharmacy.

Romig earned a bachelor’s degree in pharmacy from Ferris State University in Big Rapids, MI. He earned an MBA degree from Central Michigan University and participated in executive training program through the Wharton Business School Program for Pharmacy Leaders.

Romig serves on the Apexus Advisory Board; Health Connect Partners Advisory Board; Association of Community Cancer Centers; American Society of Health Systems and is a member of the North Carolina Association of Pharmacists.
