Campbell joins System as director
Dennis T. Campbell II, RN, BSN, has been named department director of the congestive heart failure unit at The Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital. Campbell is responsible for leading 62 employees in the day-to-day operations of the 37-bed unit.
Campbell comes to Moses Cone Hospital from Progressive Hospital of Merrillville in Crown Point, IN, where he was chief executive officer of a 40-bed long-term acute care hospital.
Asked why he got into nursing, Campbell speaks of “a passion for helping people and the variety of opportunities to carry that out is what interests me in nursing. I am amazed at the people I meet every day and feel that if I can offer any kind of encouragement or help when people are at their weakest then I have done my job.”
Campbell attended Indiana Wesleyan University, where he received a master’s of science degree in management and bachelor’s of science degree in nursing. He received an associate degree in nursing from the University of Saint Francis.
