Annie Penn Hospital names director of community outreach

Stokes Ann Hunt, RN, is the new Director of Community Outreach and Foundation for Annie Penn Hospital. In this newly created position, Hunt is responsible for strengthening the hospital’s ties with the community through speaking engagements, health fairs, screenings and similar activities. She is also charged with enhancing public support of Annie Penn Hospital through the Foundation.

“This position will be critical to Annie Penn Hospital’s future, as we develop our outreach program in the community and create a plan to grow our Foundation to new levels,” Mickey Foster, President, Annie Penn Hospital says.

Hunt is a native of Reidsville and brings 25 years of experience in healthcare. She has been employed with Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina as a consultant and, prior to that, worked at Durham Regional Hospital.

Hunt earned a bachelor of arts degree in ethics and management from John Wesley College in High Point. She will complete her masters in healthcare administration this May.

She has served on the Free Clinic Board and on the Reidsville “All-America City” task force, which achieved this national honor in 2008. Hunt is very involved with Annie Penn Hospital and serves as Immediate Past President of the Annie Penn Hospital Foundation Board.
