Cone Health CEO Named to Top Leader List
Cone Health Chief Executive Officer Tim Rice has been named to the list of "130 Nonprofit Hospital and Health System CEOs to Know" by Becker’s Hospital Review.
According to Becker’s, executives were named to the list “…based on their experience and achievements in the healthcare industry, as well as their professional involvement in the communities they serve.” All are leaders of organizations “… recognized as some of the nation's top healthcare organizations in terms of clinical and financial performance,” Becker’s states.
Rice has served as CEO of Cone Health since August 2004. He began his career at Cone Health as a pharmacist at The Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital. Rice has committed Cone Health to becoming a national leader in quality, service and cost when it comes to the delivery of healthcare.
A Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives, Rice serves on the board of the North Carolina Hospital Association, The Joint Commission (an accrediting agency for healthcare facilities) and the National Center for Healthcare Leadership.
Rice is active in the community, serving on the board of Greensboro Partnership, National Conference for Community and Justice, Piedmont Triad Partnership and the NC A&T State University Board of Directors.
Rice is a 2012 recipient of the Thomas Z. Osborne Award from the Greensboro Chamber of Commerce. He received the Distinguished Service Award from the North Carolina Hospital Association that same year.
