Cone Health Offers Free Oral Cancer Screenings

Cone Health Cancer Center offers free oral cancer screenings, Friday, Aug. 16, from 9 a.m. to noon at the HealthServe Community Health Clinic, 1002 S. Eugene Street, Greensboro.

Oral cancer can be detected early with regular examinations of the entire mouth. People who use tobacco products such as cigarettes, cigars, pipes or chewing tobacco are at greater risk and should be checked. These products are especially dangerous when combined with heavy alcohol use.

The screenings are quick and painless and are for people who have not been checked by a dentist in the last 12 months.

Registration is not required.

The public can find information about other programs and classes offered by Cone Health Cancer Center in the “Classes and Support Groups” section of or by calling (336) 832-8000.
