Penn Nursing Center Awarded Highest Rating

Penn Nursing Center has been awarded a five-star rating for overall quality by The Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services (CMS). This is the highest rating CMS provides to nursing homes in its Five-Star Nursing Home Quality Rating System.

The rating is based on health inspections, quality measures and staffing levels. “This award really speaks to the heart of our mission at Penn Nursing Center. That is to provide the highest quality and the best service to our residents,” says Penn Nursing Center Administrator Annette McNeill.

The ratings were designed by CMS to help consumers find safe, high-quality nursing home care. The ratings are found on the nursing home compare website. More than 15,000 nursing homes participating in the Medicare and Medicaid programs are in the database.

Penn Nursing Center is a 92-bed facility on the campus of Annie Penn Hospital and provides care to both short-term and long-term residents.
