Brooks to Lead Pharmacy Services at Cone Health
DeAnne Brooks has been promoted to executive director of pharmacy services for Cone Health. Brooks has been the interim leader for pharmacy services since January.
Cone Health Pharmacy Services consists of six hospital pharmacies, three cancer center pharmacies, five outpatient pharmacies and a long-term care pharmacy.
Brooks became part of Cone Health as a pharmacy student and performed her pharmacy residency at Cone Health. She has worked as a clinical staff pharmacist at The Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital, an oncology pharmacist at Cone Health Cancer Center, the pharmacy manager of Women’s Hospital and recently returned to Moses Cone Hospital as pharmacy director.
“DeAnne has an outstanding knowledge of pharmacy services across Cone Health,” says Cone Health Executive Vice President and Moses Cone Hospital President Judy Schanel. “This combined with the relationships that she’s formed and her passion for patient care makes her a terrific choice to lead our Cone Health pharmacy team.”
Brooks earned her Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and Doctor of Pharmacy degrees from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
