Danner Named Cone Health Administrative Fellow
Katie Danner has been named an administrative fellow at Cone Health. Danner is manager of patient access at Alamance Regional Medical Center. In August, she received her master’s degree in healthcare administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
“Cone Health is changing the way we deliver healthcare in this country,” says Cone Health President and Chief Operating Officer Terry Akin. “Through our administrative fellowships, we are also developing the leaders who will shape and refine the innovations we are creating today.”
During the first year of her 24-month fellowship, Danner will get experience in patient care and support areas. She will also focus on major projects working with Cone Health senior management, the medical staff and the Cone Health Board of Trustees. The second year of the fellowship focuses on gaining greater insight into administrative areas such as finance and human resources.
“The leadership development and the learning opportunities that the fellowship provides are invaluable, says Danner. “I look forward to learning and expanding my abilities to better serve our patients.”
Danner is a native of Greensboro.
Nearly two dozen people applied for the fellowship.
