Easter Named Vice President of Nursing and Patient Services at Annie Penn Hospital

Mona Easter, BSN, MBA, has been named vice president of nursing and patient services at Annie Penn Hospital. Easter will provide strategic direction for the nursing department and support the award-winning patient care for which Annie Penn Hospital is known. She will also work with the hospital president on day-to-day operations and help establish the long-term direction of Annie Penn Hospital.

For the past 15 years, Easter has been the director of the intensive care unit at Annie Penn Hospital. During her tenure, Easter led the unit on an effort to reduce hospital associated infections. The unit has gone 8 years without seeing a single case of ventilator acquired pneumonia.

Easter began her career at Annie Penn Hospital in 1980 as a patient care supervisor and has more than 35-years of experience as a registered nurse and healthcare professional. Easter holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and a Master of Business Administration degree from Averett University in Danville, Virginia.
