Handley Named Director at Women’s Hospital
Dola Handley, RN, MSN, has been named the director for mother-baby, lactation and perinatal education at Women’s Hospital.
Handley brings more than 18 years of nursing experience, including 14 years of management experience in maternal-infant nursing. She retired from the U.S. Army having experience in combat support hospitals in Kuwait and Iraq.
“The birth of a healthy baby is a miraculous event. You are going to remember everything about that moment,” says Handley. “The staff at Women’s Hospital understands that and works very hard to make it a truly positive experience.”
Handley earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Carson-Newman College, Jefferson City, Tennessee, and her online Master of Science in Nursing degree from Walden University.
Last year, more than 6,200 babies were born at Women’s Hospital.
