Osborne Named Vice President of Nursing at The Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital
Annette Osborne, RN, has been named vice president of nursing for The Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital. Osborne has more than 20 years of leadership experience, having recently served as vice president of nursing at Wesley Long Hospital.
“Annette has a proven record of elevating the quality of care and of improving the experience of our patients,” says Cone Health Executive Vice President and Moses Cone Hospital President Judy Schanel. “She is a highly respected nursing professional and will be a great advocate for patients and nurses at Moses Cone Hospital.” During her time at Wesley Long, Osborne led initiatives that substantially reduced falls and hospital-associated infections. She has also played a key role in the research and subsequent use of DermaTherapy in Cone Health hospitals. DermaTherapy is an engineered textile that reduces pressure ulcers and speeds healing of wounds.
Osborne received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree and her Master of Science in Nursing Administration degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She holds a nurse executive certification from the American Nurses Credentialing Center and is a past North Carolina Great 100 Recipient.
Osborne is active in the community, serving as the vice president of the UNCG alumni association. She is in her second term on the North Carolina Agricultural and Technical University Board of Visitors.
