Meyer Named as Director of Medical Education

Carmela Meyer, Ed.D., is the new director of medical education for Cone Health. Meyer will direct the physician resident and medical student education programs of Greensboro AHEC. Greensboro AHEC is part of aCarmella Meyer, director of medical education state network that helps to ensure that health care professionals have the latest knowledge and skills to care for their patients.

 

Meyer comes to Cone Health from the University of Kansas where she served in a variety of roles in medical education. She was extensively involved in curriculum development, assessment tools, faculty development and in helping organizations meet their accreditation requirements. Meyer will help give a presentation on experimental learning at the coming Collaborating Across Borders conference.

 

Meyer earned a master’s degree at the University of Missouri – Kansas City and her doctorate in education degree through Capella University. Meyer is a member of the Association of Pediatric Program Directors and the Society of Human Resource Managers.
