, of Cone Health Medical Group, has earned the  Certified Physician Executive (CPE) designation from the Certifying Commission in Medical Management, (CCMM). Jegede is one of only five physicians credentialed as CPE in the Greensboro area and 83 in North Carolina. The CCMM lists only about 2,400 physicians with this prestigious credential in the United States. 

“Meeting the needs of our patients today, partnering with them in their care, and coordinating with multiple providers requires a different type of physician leader,” says Cone Health Medical Group President and Chief Medical Officer Bill Morgan, MD. “Dr. Jegede brings the broader vision required to help our patients become well and stay well.” 

Cone Health Community Health and Wellness Center. Under Jegede’s leadership, the center has grown to include four full-time providers and 31 staff. 

Jegede graduated from Ahmadu Bello University College of Human Medicine in Nigeria. He completed his residency at Hurley Medical Center, Flint Michigan. Jegede holds a Masters in Healthcare Administration. He is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP) and the American Academy of Pediatrics (FAAP). 

The CCMM is a not-for-profit corporation chartered by the American Association for Physician Leadership— the nation’s largest health care organization for physician leaders — to establish and maintain the high standards required for physician executive certification.​
