Cone Health Physicians Give $10,000 to Employees in Crisis

The money goes to the Caring for Each Other Fund.

Cone Health physicians have given $10,000 to support Cone Health employees in need. The contribution came through the Cone Health Medical Executive Committee.

“As teammates, we care for each other so that we can better care for our patients,” says William Hensel, MD, director, Cone Health Family Medicine Residency. “This tangible act of caring by the physicians and dentists who are part of the medical staff speaks directly to our Cone Health values and the culture of caring that we all working to build.”

The money is being used to replenish the Cone Health Caring for Each Other Fund. The money helps employees meet the challenges and financial hardships caused by events that are beyond their control – storms, fire, accidents and illnesses.

Cone Health established the Caring for Each Other Fund in 2015 to help employees meet their basic needs when tragedy or adversity strikes. Since 2015, more than 60 people have benefited from nearly $70,000 in awards
