Connect Now to Convenient Care at Cone Health
When you need care, Cone Health can bring the waiting room to you. Whether you are home in bed or working late on a project at the office, there are convenient options to seek quality care and treatment. You can choose to conduct a Cone Health “e-Visit” by answering questions online specific to your symptoms, or you can choose a video or phone visit with a board certified physician when you need it. Read more about these options below.
Cone Health e-Visits through MyChart
MyChart is an online health and wellness resource that provides patients a way to view important information in their electronic medical chart. MyChart is available at all six hospitals in the Cone Health network and many affiliated physician practices. Among the benefits of having a MyChart account is the ability to go online and request an e-Visit for certain non-urgent symptoms.
MyChart users who are age 18 and older can request an e-Visit for the following symptoms: back pain, cough, diarrhea, flu-like symptoms, heartburn, red eye, sinus problems, urinary problems and vaginal problems. This list may change as we continue to enhance this service.
After you answer a series of questions, a qualified Cone Health provider will review your health information and recommend a treatment plan within one hour. This plan may include prescriptions as appropriate. NOTE: Information from an e-Visit will become part of the patient’s electronic chart.
The cost of an e-Visit is $30 for most patients. If you have a question about coverage, please check with your insurance company to see if this method of care is covered. (Cone Health employees should refer to previous communications about this benefit.)
E-Visits are currently available through MyChart from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. This service is not yet available on the MyChart app. If you do not have a MyChart account and would like one, you can request an activation code online or ask your provider.

Video and Phone Visits
You can also choose to talk to a board-certified doctor 24/7 by phone or secure video to help treat any non-urgent medical conditions. You can call a toll-free number or use the video camera on your laptop, tablet or smart phone for a face-to-face consultation when you need care. Our service is available 365 days a year, and our team can diagnose your symptoms, prescribe medication, and send prescriptions to your pharmacy of choice.
The cost of a video or phone visit is $49 or less, depending on your insurance. If you have a question about coverage, please check with your insurance company to see if this method of care is covered.
If you have a medical emergency, dial 911. This service was not designed for chronic care management, complex conditions and emergency care.
