da Vinci Surgical System
Bringing New Precision to Minimally Invasive Surgeries
The da Vinci Surgical System is designed to give surgeons better vision, precision, dexterity and control. A computer console, guided by the operating surgeon, is used to manipulate instruments attached to the system’s robotic arms. The instruments bend and rotate to mimic the movements of the human wrist – allowing surgeons to make small, precise movements inside your body. A tiny camera provides high-definition, three-dimensional images that can be magnified so your surgeon has a close-up view.
The patient experience
Studies show patients whose surgery is performed using the da Vinci system have less blood loss, fewer complications, a shorter hospital stay and a faster recovery.
