Primary Care Practice
People living with sickle cell have access to physicians dedicated to their primary care at the Sickle Cell Medical Center. The center is supported by board-certified physicians providing primary care services. In addition, a team of certified nurse practitioners, registered nurses, social worker/patient navigator and case managers provide care and support.
A majority of the staff has prior experience caring for sickle cell patients, and all have continuous training and continuing education about the unique needs and concerns of people living with the disease. The center is distinctive in that it provides comprehensive and holistic care in an innovative and collaborative environment.
