Education Grant Requests
Dear prospective applicants,
We are excited to report that we received a significant volume of competitive, high-quality proposals for Cone Health’s February 2025 education grant review period. As a result, we have awarded all our 2025 funding, and we will not be able to support a second grant review cycle this year. For partners who are interested in future funding opportunities, we encourage you to submit grant proposals for consideration in 2026. The next education grant submission deadline is Friday, December 12, 2025. Thank you for your understanding.
Eligibility Requirements
- Grant applicants must be 501(c)3 organizations and provide the most recent IRS 990 Form upon request. Note: this requirement is waived for government agencies and/or approved school systems.
- Only one grant per organization will be awarded each year. If your organization receives an education grant from Cone Health, you will not be eligible for additional funding during the same fiscal year.
- Organizations applying for grant funding must be professionally managed with a proven record of financial stewardship.
- Applicants must have the ability to prove that proceeds will benefit specific educational programming or workforce development programs. In most cases, grants will not be awarded to fund the organization’s administrative or overhead costs.
- Prior grant awards do not guarantee future funding.
- If approved for a grant, the recipient must send Cone Health an official invoice and W9 to receive payment. Note: the W9 requirement is waived for government agencies and/or approved school systems.
We are NOT able to provide grants to the following:
- For-profit organizations
- Individual public or private schools, excluding institutions of higher learning such as community colleges and universities
- Individuals
- Organizations that cannot provide a W9 or numbered invoice (Note: a W9 is not required for government agencies and/or approved school systems)
- Organizations that discriminate on the basis of race, ethnicity, color, culture, language, gender, sexual orientation, physical or mental disability, socioeconomic status or religion
- Political causes, candidates, organizations or campaigns
Important Dates
- Grant applications will be reviewed up to two times a year. The next education grant submission deadline is Friday, December 12, 2025. If our annual funding is not fully awarded during the January 2026 review cycle, proposals will be accepted for consideration during a second grant review cycle in May 2026.
- Approvals and denials will be communicated via email.
If you meet the eligibility requirements above, please complete the grant application in full.
