About The Center for Health Equity
Our Vision
At the Cone Health Center for Health Equity, we are working toward an ambitious goal:
To reduce life expectancy disparities in our communities by five years in five years.
Where you live shouldn’t determine how long you live — but right now, it does. Whether you live in the rural areas of Rockingham or Randolph counties, or in underserved neighborhoods across Guilford, Alamance, and Forsyth counties, we’re committed to doing our part to close the gap and extend lives.
This work is driven by a passionate and diverse team dedicated to turning this vision into reality.
Our Framework: The 4C’s of Health Equity
Care: Creating new clinical protocols that transform how and where we deliver care.
Caring: Tackling the social drivers of health — like food access, transportation, and digital equity.
Cultural Competency: Ensuring care feels safe and respectful through education, training, and humility.
Curiosity: Using research and data to understand challenges, measure impact, and share what we learn.
Together, we are closing gaps. Extending lives. And building healthier communities — for everyone.
