Biography
Board certified in obstetrics and gynecology, Meredith A. Newton, MD, specializes in gynecologic oncology. With expertise in robotic surgery, she provides minimally invasive approaches to surgery when appropriate.
Using a patient-centered, compassionate and collaborative approach to healthcare, she strives to make sure the patient, as well as their family and support system, feel heard and cared for. She seeks to treat the whole patient – physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually – using evidence-based practices and shared decision-making to ensure care is consistent with a patient’s expressed goals and wishes.
In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, spending time with her dog, watching sports, cheering on the Tar Heels, listening to live music and exploring new restaurants.
