Biography
As a board-certified orthopedic surgeon, N. Michael Xu (pronounced “Choo”), MD, believes in treating the whole patient and working collaboratively for optimal treatment outcomes. He specializes in general orthopedics, partial and total knee replacement surgery, anterior approach total hip replacement and hand injuries and surgery. He has completed advanced training in Oxford® partial knee replacement surgery and direct anterior approach hip replacement surgery.
Originally from Shanghai, China, Dr. Xu grew up in the U.S. and attended Grimsley High School in Greensboro. He and his wife, a pediatrician, have two children. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling with his family, playing tennis, snow skiing and water sports.
