Cindy Rizzo

Vice President of Surgical Services, Cone Health

Cindy Rizzo is vice president of surgical services at Cone Health. She is responsible for the quality, safety and operations of surgical facilities and surgical teams that provide more than 32,000 surgeries annually at Cone Health.

Rizzo joined Cone Health in 2013. Most recently she was the executive director of orthopedics and neuro spine service lines.

Rizzo earned a Master of Business Administration degree from Queens University in Charlotte; a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Gardner-Webb University and a Nursing Diploma from Presbyterian Hospital School of Nursing in Charlotte. Rizzo started her career as a surgical technologist, obtaining her degree from Catawba Valley Community College in Hickory.
