Fredrick Gainey
Vice President, Operations for Alamance Regional Medical Center

As vice president, operations for Alamance Regional Medical Center, Gainey oversees key performance indicators and works with hospital and system-wide leaders to drive operational excellence in support of elevating care for our patients and communities.
Gainey rejoined Cone Health in 2024 after some time spent consulting and serving as vice president of Lean Transformation for Rite Aid. Prior to that, Gainey spent over a decade at Cone Health, with the last seven as executive director of Lean Transformation. He also co-led Cone Health's COVID-19 vaccine deployment strategy. Gainey began his career journey at Cone Health in 2012 as the system-wide manager for Quality Improvement.
Gainey received his MBA from UNC-Greensboro and his bachelor’s degree in industrial and systems engineering from Virginia Tech University.
