J. Michael Kramer, MD, Chief Medical Information Officer

Dr. J. Michael Kramer, MBA, serves as chief medical information officer for Cone Health. In this role, Dr. Kramer is a liaison between the medical staff and information systems team and partners with the CIO in the continued advancement of information technology into hospital and ambulatory practice settings to promote the highest possible quality, safety and evidence-based patient care.  

Prior to joining Cone Health, Dr. Kramer was the Vice President and Chief Health Information Officer at Inova Health in Fairfax, Va. He also served as Vice President and Chief Medical Information Officer at OhioHealth in Columbus, Ohio.  

Dr. Kramer received his medical degree from Case Western Reserve University of Medicine in Cleveland and earned his MBA with a specialization in healthcare and information technology from the University of Michigan. Dr. Kramer received his bachelor’s degree from Miami University (Ohio).
