Chief, Community & Corporate Well-Being
Lisa Pennington leads efforts for developing and implementing population health and well-being strategies for Cone Health. This includes improving health equity and addressing social, economic, physical and behavioral issues that impact clinical outcomes.
Earlier in her career, Pennington helped establish the speech language pathology and rehabilitation services departments at what is now Alamance Regional Medical Center.
Pennington earned her undergraduate degree in communications at North Carolina State University and a master’s in education degree in speech and language pathology at the University of North Carolina-Greensboro.
Pennington is board certified in health care management through the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE). She is an ACHE Fellow and a member of the Triad Chapter. Pennington received the Elon Medallion for outstanding service from Elon University in 2019.
Pennington serves on the boards of the Alamance Chamber of Commerce, the Alamance Economic Development Foundation, Arts Alamance and the New Leaf Society.
