Melissa Shearer

Vice President, Strategy

Melissa Shearer serves as vice president, strategy for Cone Health. In this role, Shearer connects strategic priorities with operations and drives strategic rigor and alignment across Cone Health, its regions, delivery channels and partners.

Prior to this role, Shearer served as executive director of strategy and planning for Cone Health. Since beginning her career at Cone Health more than 20 years ago, Shearer has served in a variety of positions of progressive leadership responsibility in the strategy department, including senior planning associate, director and most recently, executive director.

Melissa holds an MBA from Wake Forest University and a bachelor’s degree in international studies from the University of Evansville. She currently serves on the Board of GenerationEd, a local non-profit focused on early childhood development.
