Michelle Schneider is chief philanthropy officer for Cone Health.
Schneider joined the Cone Health Philanthropy office in 2017 as senior philanthropy officer. She became chief philanthropy officer in 2019. Schneider leads The Campaign for Healthy Communities, Cone Health’s first comprehensive campaign which reached its five-year goal of $35M in just 2.5 years.
Schneider earned a bachelor’s degree in social work and a master’s degree in public affairs from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She carries the Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy (CAP®) designation, administered through The American College of Financial Services.
Schneider is a member of Women to Women, the Greensboro Society of Financial Services Professionals, and serves on the shift_ed Board of Directors.
She was recognized as the 2021 Outstanding Fundraising Professional by the AFP NC Triad Chapter. Schneider is a member of the Class of 2023-2025 William C. Friday Fellowship for Human Relations and a 2025 Triad Business Journal Outstanding Women in Business Honoree. That same year she received the Public Service Award from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro Department of Social Work.
