Ryan Blackledge, J.D., MBA
Vice President, Government & External Affairs

Ryan Blackledge serves as the Vice President of Government & External Affairs at Cone Health. In this role, he oversees Cone Health's relationships and engagement with local, state, and federal governments, as well as relationships and engagement with external entities such as chambers of commerce.
Blackledge first joined Cone Health in 2015 as the Director of Government Affairs and oversaw Cone Health’s policy development and government advocacy. Prior to working at Cone Health, Blackledge was a staff attorney at the North Carolina General Assembly for seven years, where he wrote tax, transportation, corporate, and health care laws.
He holds a J.D. and M.B.A. from Tulane University and a bachelor’s degree in foreign affairs from the University of Virginia. He is licensed to practice law in both North Carolina and his home state of Louisiana.
Blackledge chairs the government affairs committee for the Greensboro Chamber of Commerce; serves as Vice Chair for Advocacy on the board for the Alamance Chamber of Commerce; serves on the board of Ready for School, Ready for Life; and chairs Premier’s government affairs policy committee.
