Chief Nursing Officer and Executive Director of Patient Care Services, Annie Penn Hospital

Stacey Toben, RN, BSN, MHA, CENP, serves as chief nursing officer and executive director of patient care services at Annie Penn Hospital.

She joined Cone Health in 2012 and has led numerous initiatives focused on patient experience, employee engagement, workforce development and operational excellence.  

Toben earned a Master of Healthcare Administration from Pfeiffer University and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Anthropology from the University of Georgia.  

A Certified Executive in Nursing Practice, Toben is a former board member of the NC Great 100 Nurse Excellence Board and was recognized as a Great 100 Nurse in North Carolina in 2011. She also received the North Carolina Emergency Nurses Association Nurse Manager of the Year Award in 2015.
