When Do My Benefits Start?

As a new employee, you must enroll within 31 days of your hire date. Most benefits start the first of the month following your hire:

  • Dental
  • Disability
  • Flexible spending accounts and health savings accounts 
  • Life
  • Medical
  • Vision

Some voluntary benefits start the first of the month following three months of your hire:

  • Accident
  • Critical illness
  • Hospital indemnity
  • Whole life
