What inspires you to get healthy and stay healthy?
I've always worked out, I love to walk and eat what I cook. I pack my lunch for work, water is always my first choice, and take the stairs in the mornings. I believe in maintaining a healthy balance in life by eating right, exercising, getting enough sleep and doing the things that you enjoy. We need to love each other, encourage each other and celebrate each other; we can all shine together. I want to see my daughter married and have grandchildren. My paternal grandmother is 94 years old, has seen her 4th generation and doesn’t look a day older than 70! My maternal great-grandmother was 113 years old when she passed away and was still able to string a needle.
Which Cone Health programs have you taken part in?
I took part in Weight Smart programs, daily challenges through LiveLifeWell and I track my daily steps and sleep.
Are there activities or hobbies you now take part in that you didn’t before?
I take walks in the park. My friends and family with join me sometimes as well.
If you could say one thing to other employees to inspire, what would you say?
"Just do it, get active, eat right, and enjoy life to the fullest. Take time for yourself, relax and unwind, let your hair down, have fun."
