I started working at Cone Health during my senior year at the University of North Carolina Greensboro. As I was approaching graduation, my financial aid ran out and I just couldn’t take out any more loans. I was so disappointed because my bachelor’s degree was just out of reach. “Oh well,” I thought, “guess I’ll have to put that dream aside for now.” Then while working a shift at Alamance Regional, one of my teammates informed me about Cone Health’s tuition reimbursement program. I had assumed it required years of service to be eligible. Turns out, you can qualify after only six months. Thanks to Cone, I earned that bachelor’s degree without needing to take out additional loans. I am so thankful for the trust and faith that I’ve been shown. My optimism has been fully restored. I plan to continue my career and personal development here. I am also seriously considering going back to school for an advanced degree. I know firsthand what it means to have Cone Health right here with you.
