Roberta Bailey

Clinical Value Analysis Administrator

Julie Wenzel

After my mom was hospitalized with heart issues, my dad was so worried and anxious after seeing his wife in pain, that he became ill as well. Following a long flight from Chicago, I walked into Moses Cone Hospital concerned about not one, but both of my parents. My distress was immediately met with compassion. Each staff member brought passion to their role, from helping me locate my parents’ room to their friendly bedside manner. The nurses – every single one of them – provided exceptional care, a listening ear, and knowledge that lifted our burden away. For that my family was grateful. Years later I moved to Greensboro to care for my aging mother and got a job at Cone Health. The past few years have been some of the most challenging in health care history. Despite this feat, my department gave me the tools I needed for success. Sitting around our conference table I see a group of co-workers that have not only received numerous awards for their care but demonstrate a culture of caring in everything they do. As a Clinical Value Analysis Administrator, I’m continuously inspired by their resilience. That’s why I bring my best to work every day—because that’s what the nurses caring for my parents did years ago.
