PGY1 Year
Residents will be part of the Moses Cone PGY1 cohort and follow the outline for the Moses Cone Hospital PGY1 acute care track. Residents will be required to complete the following rotation activities:

PGY2 Year
Residents in their PGY2 year will focus on core rotation experiences around clinical and operational management, finance, human resources, and leadership development.
Rotation experiences available include the following:
-Chief Pharmacy Officer and Hospital Leadership
-Clinical Management
-Director of Pharmacy
-Financial Management
-Health-System Leadership
-Operational Management
-Pharmacy Benefit Management/Accountable Care Organization
-Pharmacy Informatics
-Specialty and Ambulatory Care Pharmacy
Additional longitudinal experiences include completion of master's classes and master's thesis project, management of a Cone Health pharmacy service line, leadership development, and incorporation into the Cone Health leadership team.

In order to apply, applicants must fill out both a residency-specific application through PhORCAS and an application through the UNC Graduate School for the Master's degree portion of the program.

Applicants should register and apply through ASHP's PhORCAS.

UNC Graduate School Application
Instructions:
1) Access the UNC Graduate School Application, which can be found here.
2) Complete the application and enter the following information when prompted:
a. Level of Study: Graduate; New Degree Seeking Applicant
b. Major: Pharmaceutical Sciences
c. Degree: Master of Science
d. Area of Interest of Specialization: Practice Advancement and Clinical Education
e. Select term of Entry - Fall 2020
3) Upload unofficial transcripts, statement of purpose, and CV
4) Pay non-refundable $95 application fee
5) Provide three letters of recommendation

Master's Education
We are proud to have partnered with the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy to provide our Health-System Pharmacy Administration residents with a world class didactic education to complement their on site residency training. Administration residents at Cone Health will be part of the UNC master's cohort which includes administration residents from across the state including UNC Medical Center, Duke University Hospital, Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, and Mission Hospital. Residents will be able to remotely attend and participate in class on site from Cone Health.

The UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy is located on the University of North Carolina's campus in Chapel Hill, NC. UNC is world renowned for its efforts in research, pharmaceutics, and international engagement. Curriculum
The master's degree curriculum will be completed longitudinally over the two year residency. The master's degree will culminate with a thesis substitute, which consists of a supervised project in health-system pharmacy administration that has direct implications to the health-system.
