Child care needs during this time are greatly important as we rely on our teams to support our patients and communities. Our work with community partners continues to develop a long-term plan to support our team members who are so vital. This is an unprecedented time and we know that being right here with you requires collaborative solutions.

Bright Horizons Options - Effective May 4

Back-Up Care

If your regular care is unavailable, Bright Horizons Back-Up Care™ will arrange high-quality care for you. Care can be provided in your home or at one of our partner centers.

Please use the on-line reservation system with Bright Horizons or the mobile app. This will be the easiest way to reserve dates for care.

State Child Care Helpline

If you are a parent who provides necessary services to, or cares for, members of our communities and your child care has fallen through or is unavailable because of COVID-19 closures, call 1-888-600-1685 to be connected with the right fit for you and your child.

  • Care options are for parents whose typical child care arrangements are unavailable due to school or child care closings and who cannot access other care.
  • Options are available for infants up to children age 12.

Childcare Option for Alamance County School Students

The Recreation and Parks Departments of Alamance County are teaming up to provide day camps for children of healthcare employees during the school cancellations caused by COVID-19. These camps will be for children ages 5 to 12, from 7:00am to 6:00pm. Applications must be submitted to recinfo@alamance-nc.com by 5:00pm on Thursday in order to participate on Monday, March 30. Applications will be accepted on-going and processed for future start dates. Once the application has been submitted, a representative from Parks & Recreation will contact the parent to confirm attendance. YMCA

The Guilford County and Rockingham County YMCAs are also offering all-day support for children impacted by the current school closings.

Greensboro

Where: Camp Weaver
Times: 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Cost: $25 for members / $35 for non-members.

Reidsville

Where: Local YMCA
Times: 7 a.m. to 6 pm.
Cost: $20 for members /$25 for non-members.

Registration is required and must be done in-person. Visit a YMCA branch in Greensboro or Reidsville to register. Photo ID is required at the time of registration.
