Pre-employment Information

In order to ensure a successful start, all employees are required to complete the following prior to their first day.

  1. Review your benefit options: Have you heard of our virtual benefits counselor, Alex? Choosing the right benefit plan is tricky, and Alex is here to point you in the right direction. Please review these two videos available to get started.
  2. Preboarding documents: These items were assigned to you by our recruitment team. If you have questions concerning the preboarding material, please reach out to the Talent Acquisition team (866-266-3767).
  3. Pre-employment health screening: Appointments are scheduled through your recruitment team.  For additional information, including the location for Health at Work, hours, phone number and required documentation necessary to complete the pre-employment health screening, click here.

  • Grab a light breakfast, get your headshot taken and prepare for an exciting day ahead!
  • Let’s kick-start the morning with introductions and a walk through of our corporate history.  Later, a member of our executive team will provide insight on our values, commitments and strategic priorities.
  • Cone Health is proud of its culture, and we want you to walk away with the same feeling!

Throughout the day, we will spend time learning about the many different ways we, as an organization, live our values by being right here with you.

Agenda: p.m. session

  • Hear from our Patient Experience team and learn the importance of providing excellent service to our patients and family members.
  • Technology tools – Working together, we will walk through password registration and setup, then navigate the Cone Health intranet. Our Financial Advisor, Benefits and Wellness teams will spend time discussing the unique benefits available to employees then show you where and how to locate the information to get started.
  • Collaboration is key, and part of our culture is to seek new ideas for improving the overall experience for employees, patients and family members. Partnering together, we will close out the day with an idea pitch challenge to find ways to continually enhance the new employee experience.

Health and Wellness Program

Promoting a healthy lifestyle is important and we encourage employees to take advantage of the many programs available to them.

LiveLifeWell is our employee wellness program, which provides free onsite fitness centers, group exercise classes, partnerships with local companies for 5k trainings, gym discounts, onsite personal training, massage therapy and much more! Click here for additional information.

In addition to LiveLifeWell, we offer a healthy lifestyle premium program to keep insurance premiums at a decreased rate and a healthy rewards program that provides cash payouts for completing health and wellness activities throughout the year.

Employee Pharmacies

Cone Health operates five conveniently located pharmacies where you can maximize your prescription dollars and get great buys on over-the-counter medications. Anyone enrolled in a Cone Health medical plan, including spouses and children, may use the pharmacies. You can also use the pharmacies even if you are not enrolled in one of our plans; however, you will be charged the copay or coinsurance for the insurance coverage used (e.g., Medicare or health insurance through a spouse’s employer).

Education / Loan Support

  • College Coach: Choosing the right program to match your educational and career objectives can be complicated. Employees have access to educational coaches who can provide guidance and assist with making the right decisions about degree programs. Please refer to page 20 of the New Hire Benefits Book for additional information.
  • Tuition Assistance: Have you considered going back to school but are unsure how to pay for it? Integrating your education into future career plans may be easier than you think, and we offer reimbursement solutions to help support your learning objectives. Please email conehealth@edassist.com for additional information. 
  • Loan Repayment: Statistics show 1 in 4 graduates have incurred debt in pursuit of their educational goals. To help ease the stress of repayment obligations, we have partnered with an institution to offer student loan refinance options.
  • Public Service Loan Forgiveness: Because Cone Health is a qualifying institution, we will assist you in completing your public service loan forgiveness form.

Career Development

Career development is a stand for our brand promise and one of the many ways that we care for our employees. We have a variety of programs available to assist with navigating a successful career within Cone Health.

  • HealthStream (HLC): Through HealthStream Learning Center (HLC), our electronic learning management system, employees can register for classes, complete online (e-learning) education modules and maintain electronic transcripts for certification purposes.
