Ondreasa Andrews, The Tim and Carolynn Rice Center for Child and Adolescent Health
Tell us about Ondreasa's wellness journey.
I think Ondreasa is a prime example of dedication and motivation for being and staying healthy. She is very disciplined with what she eats. She stays very active outside of work activities. She walks or incorporates exercise routines into her lunch hour daily. She recently has set up a small group of girls that she motivates to get up and exercise during the lunch break. She is very active at home. She only drinks water and has not consumed a soft drink in a very long time. She will not eat in excess when it comes to junk food or eating out. She definitely sets an example among us to be more driven to stay healthy and to drink lots of water!
What inspired Ondreasa to get healthy and stay healthy?
She wants to come to an old age as healthy as she possibly can.
Are there activities or hobbies Ondreasa now participates in that she didn’t before?
She has always been active and very watchful of what she eats, but she recently started rounding up our co-workers to exercise daily during the lunch break.
Have Ondreasa's doctor, family, friends, and co-workers provided support along the way? If so, how?
Yes, the doctors have joined in on the new "break exercise routine!"
If you could say one thing to other employees to inspire them, what would you say?
You can do anything you set your mind to.
