Dr. Mark Skains is a cardiologist at Cone Health specializing in non-invasive cardiology and cardiac imaging, including echocardiography and cardiac catheterization. He brings a personalized, patient-centered approach to care, focusing on the needs of both patients and their families. A native of New Orleans, Dr. Skains’ love for rhythm and connection—shaped by his background as a jazz drummer—naturally led him to a career caring for the heart, the body’s own rhythm keeper.
He is passionate about the collaborative spirit within Cone Health, where he works alongside a highly skilled team of physicians to deliver exceptional cardiovascular care in a community hospital setting.
