Biography
Alicia Whiteis, MD, is a pediatric hospitalist*. Her professional interests include newborn care, climate advocacy and health equity. She serves as medical director for the Cone Health Women’s & Children’s Newborn Nursery at Moses Cone Hospital.
She believes it is a privilege to care for newborns and guide new parents through the newborn experience. Also, she is passionate about taking care of children when they are hospitalized for various illnesses.
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two dogs. Her hobbies include water sports, like paddleboarding with her corgi, hiking and exploring national parks.
