Biography
Allison Carter, MD, is board certified in family medicine. Her professional interests include women’s health, pediatrics, behavioral health and gender-affirming care for adults. She has expertise in performing outpatient procedures, including IUDs, implantable contraceptives and minor skin procedures.
She is passionate about advocating for her patients. She finds joy in building meaningful relationships and helping people navigate the complexities of the health care system. Using an evidence-based approach to medicine, she focuses on prevention, chronic disease management and wellness across all stages of life. She fosters a trusting and transparent environment where patients feel heard, respected and empowered to take an active role in their care.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and basset hound, Dolly. Her hobbies include hot yoga, baking and hiking.
