Biography
Austin Paytes, PharmD, CPP, is a clinical pharmacist practitioner who collaborates with infectious disease providers to optimize medication management. As a clinical pharmacist, he focuses on developing practical medication plans that empower patients to successfully manage their conditions. His professional interests include hepatitis C, HIV and pre-exposure prophylaxis for the prevention of HIV.
Using an evidence-based approach to complex conditions, he helps patients maintain or achieve good health. Through clear, transparent communication and a collaborative approach to care, he ensures patients understand their condition and treatment, have a voice in developing their treatment plans and feel comfortable with the next steps.
Outside of work, he enjoys gardening, reading and exercising.
