Brian O’Kelley, MD is originally from Greensboro and is actually a former patient of the pediatric practice he has worked with for more than 17 years. He calls the group of dedicated and supportive colleagues his "second family."
Dr. O'Kelley "took the scenic route" to his medical career. His first degree was in architecture which he put to use at firms in Washington D.C. and Norfolk, VA.
For Cone Health, Dr. O’Kelley has served on several committees including Pediatric Peer Review and Newborn Nursery Committee.
His wife, Wendy, is a hematology/oncology nurse who works at the Cone Health Cancer Center. They have a teenage daughter, a teenage son, and a Labrador Retriever. He also enjoys getting outside to run, mountain bike, hike, backpack and kayak as well as carpentry projects and playing guitar.
